From the stages of Carnegie Hall and the Kennedy Center to numerous churches and conferences around the country, acclaimed vocalist, songwriter, and author, Charles Billingsley, is still doing what he absolutely loves... creating and performing timeless classics as well as new music before thousands of fans around the world. His effervescent and energetic personality comes through in every singing and speaking event. Launching his career three decades ago as a lead vocalist for GRAMMY–nominated NewSong, Charles has since performed as a solo artist for 30 years in more than 3300 concerts, released 27 albums, and garnered seven #1 radio hits with his signature style and incredible vocal range.
He recently produced a must listen to collection of American standards and classics entitled, “The Shadow of Your Smile.” And then he went back in the studio with some of the country’s best musicians for a special Gospel album called “Stories and Songs”. His newest album, “Replay.” is a collection of best loved songs in collaboration with Stow Town Records. He is also the author of four devotional books: Lord Use Me, Words on Worship, More Words on Worship, and the ADVENTurous Life. Charles and his wife, Shae, have been married for more than 30 years and they have two sons and a daughter-in-law, Caleb and Cooper and Emily. When Charles is not singing and speaking in events around the country, he serves as the teaching pastor at Thomas Road Baptist Church as well as an adjunct professor at Liberty University in Lynchburg,
